Mark 16:9-20

This post is just a copy and paste of the screenshots of slides and TouTube-generated transcript (with time stamps) from this talk on the last 11 verses of Mark.  If you're struggling like many with whether those last 11 verses should actually be in the Bible,  I encourage you to take a look at the evidence presented. It's easy to cling to the first argument we run across that confirms the beliefs we already hold, but if our desire is for the truth or for the Lord then we owe it to ourselves to dive a little deeper.

0:05    we're going to talk about something today that's fundamental really uh we had to testimony before and a common
0:11    theme in all of her testimonies is signs Miracles and wonders that are moving in
0:17    amongst God's people it's a wonderful proof that God is continuing his ministry the
0:23    ministry of Jesus Christ and um it continues in People Like Us
0:30    yeah that doesn't seem to be working now
0:36    that State's working right okay we're looking at Mark 16 which is one of the
0:41    Cornerstone scriptures that are very important to us and in particular verses 9 to 20 the
0:49    last 12 verses of Mark 16. why are we looking at this we're looking at this
0:54    because there's a lot of theological dispute that have been taken place
0:59    over many years as to whether these verses are actually authentic or not
1:05    whether they should be in the scriptures or not you know we could just say up front they
1:10    do need to be in the Bible they are authentic but it's good to go through the reasons why

1:18    so it's been about 150 years ago that uh this dispute started up by a group of
1:24    people that um represent a form of theology called higher Bible criticism
1:31    and immediately that should draw your attention to
1:37    the dangers of this being critical of the word of gods and because after all
1:43    it's not the critics that have the signs following it's the Believers so there's
1:49    a big difference between those two and this uh belief that the last 12
1:55    verses of Mark 16 should not be in the Bible rest a hundred percent on two
2:02    manuscripts we'll have a look at those manuscripts and some of the um peculiarities about them they claim
2:10    that these are the oldest manuscripts available we'll see that that's not necessarily the case and most modern
2:18    Bibles today now an interesting thing is that almost every two years in the last
2:25    150 years there's been a new English translation which should make us think why do we
2:31    have to keep having new translations uh in English now there's a very good
2:37    commercial reason for doing this because to produce a new Bible you have to
2:42    change a minimum of eight percent of the content of a previous Bible so
2:49    um people go to a lot of lengths to change individual words it may not
2:55    necessarily change 100 of the meaning but as long as they meet that Target
3:00    they can then claim a copyright on that Bible and you'll be able to you know if
3:05    you went into a Bible shop you lifted any modern Bible today you'll see that in one of the inside Pages there will be
3:12    a copyright notice there's only one English Bible that is not copyrighted
3:18    and that's a King James version of the Bible and that copyright also applies to the
3:24    new King James version as well which means that the Publishers actually gain a royalty
3:31    um over every copy that sold and it's still the best seller in the world and
3:39    there's reputed to have been over seven billion copies of the Bible distributed

3:46    um and that's just the English Bible purpose of this presentation is
3:51    threefolds it's to demonstrate principally the authenticity of those
3:57    verses and we'll be doing so by having a look at the manuscripts we'll look at the internal scriptural
4:04    evidence does it fit in with other scriptures and and is in harmony with the other scriptures
4:11    and thirdly and very importantly the experiential
4:16    evidence in other words the things that are written in those verses do people
4:22    experience them Through the Ages to today and I'm pretty sure we'll be in the
4:30    affirmative on that

these are the two ancient manuscripts
4:36    that these uh theories are based on the Codex sinaiticus who is discovered
4:42    in 1844 in Saint Catherine's Monastery in Sinai it's claimed to originate from the 4th
4:49    century and and putting here claim because there's several books that have been written by people that are experts
4:56    on manuscripts to show that there are so many deficiencies in this set of manuscripts that it's
5:04    very very doubtful whether it goes back to the 4th Century if the fact that it was only discovered
5:10    in the middle of the 19th century would have to raise the question where was it
5:17    in all those other centuries and why wasn't it discovered and so that's suspect right for a star
5:25    and then the other one even more suspect is a code vaticanus
5:30    it's housed in the Vatican today it's allegedly been there since the 15th
5:37    century but it was only published or a facsimile of it not the original but the
5:43    facsimile was published in 1868 now this is interesting because 1844 and
5:50    1868 are very close to each other and we actually find that when we look
5:56    at these manuscripts they have very very common content
6:01    and it's quite extraordinary that the vaticanus decided to come out the
6:06    woodwork you know approximately the same time that the synaticus was discovered
6:12    and again it claims origin from the 4th Century but cannot substantiate
6:18    a quick whistle-stop tour of manuscripts believe me you can go into ridiculous
6:24    detail on this but we're certainly not going to do that

there's over 3 000 New Testament Greek
6:30    manuscripts in in evidence today not one of those are a complete New Testament
6:37    we have fragments there's enough when you put them all together to make up an
6:42    entire New Testament but there's no single manuscript that contains the Full
6:48    New Testament by the way we're not looking into the Hebrew of the Old
6:53    Testament in this particular presentation there's really no dispute over the Old Testament and the reason
7:00    being is that the scribes that assembled the Old Testament was so
7:06    meticulous that there's virtually no significant differences between the available
7:12    manuscripts today of which there are not really very many
7:18    there's only eighteen hundred of those 3119 that actually contain Mark's gospel
7:26    now all but three of those include Mark 16 verses 9 to 20. so we're talking
7:32    about a very very small proportion of manuscripts of Mark's gospel that
7:38    does not contain those verses and the ones that don't contain the verses are
7:44    the ones that are associated with those two supposed ancient manuscripts
7:51    there's around about 8 000 Latin manuscripts that are available today and
7:58    all but one includes the verses
8:03    there's about a thousand Syriac that's another language that was used in ancient times that their manuscripts
8:11    exist today again all but one contains the last 12 verses
8:16    and then there's approximately two thousand great lectionaries election readers it's not exactly a Bible as such
8:24    but it is a group it contains a lot of scriptural evidence for teaching
8:29    purposes and there's there's around about 2 000
8:34    of those every one of them contains Mark 16 verses uh nine to twenty
8:42    now another uh evidence that is well worth looking at is what the early
8:47    church writers in other words you go back to the second century for instance to the oldest records of things written
8:55    by people that were prominent in the church we don't know whether they were
9:01    actually Spirit-filled or not but as far as historical records go
9:06    and uh they included Mark 16 verses 9 to 20 well in advance of the synaticus or
9:14    the vaticanus that do not include them these are just some examples patius from
9:21    a hundred A.D so we're talking about the close of the first century so it's not a
9:27    huge amount of time in advance of uh when Jesus actually
9:32    walked on this planet Justin Mark at Marta 150 A.D Arrhenius
9:38    180 to Julian and hippolytus 195 A.D so
9:44    all of these writings contain references to Mark 16 verses 9 to 20. what it tells
9:52    us is that whatever manuscripts they were using at the time which is well in
9:57    advance of those two claimed ancient manuscripts contained those last 12
10:03    verses so a brief summary of all of if you've
10:08    done an analysis on everything that's available the conclusion that you would come to is that 99.9 of all available
10:17    manuscripts support those verses so when people say that you know these
10:24    are not in the scripture they're actually going way outside of the statistics of
10:32    um what is proven to be available today

now as I mentioned most modern Bible
10:38    translations either the they're generally either omit they they take it
10:45    out completely those last 12 verses or they include a footnote there's even some King James Bibles that
10:52    uh very often it's becoming common that they put a footnote on the bottom of the
10:57    Gospel of Mark and they say something like this these verses are not in the oldest best
11:04    most reliable Greek manuscripts now these are dangerous statements because this patently not true
11:13    for instance there's no direct evidence that they are the oldest it's only the
11:18    conjecture or opinion of certain people they're certainly not the best as we will see and they're certainly in the
11:25    not the most reliable so when they use these terms it puts a question mark
11:31    but the danger is like Satan in the Garden of Eden one only has to make the
11:37    suggestion to get the ball rolling did God say that
11:42    and essentially the first revised version of the word of God started in
11:47    the Garden of Eden God said these are these trees you eat this one and you
11:54    will die you can eat of all the other trays now immediately you know people started
12:01    to change things the woman changed it actually by saying you know even if we
12:07    touch it we'll surely die which was actually adding to the word of God because he didn't say touch he said eat
12:14    but then of course Satan moved in and said did God say that
12:19    and that's all that was necessary to put that down and these are the the Bibles today that
12:26    are all based on those manuscripts that omit those verses you've got the revised
12:31    version of 1881 that's the one that really started the ball rolling
12:37    you've got the revised Standard Version you've got the revised Standard Version
12:42    the Catholic edition that has certain scriptures in and out that suit the
12:47    Catholic Doctrine you've got the NIV probably the most popular bible in the
12:53    English language today The New International Version I call it the non-inspired
12:59    version and uh you've got the bad I mean the Good News Bible which is based on the
13:05    same manuscripts you've got the English Standard Version and you've got the New
13:10    World Translation which is the translation by uh used by Jehovah's
13:15    Witnesses that says in the beginning was the word and the Word was a god with a small G
13:23    whereas in the majority of the manuscripts it says in the beginning was
13:29    the word and the Word was God with a capital G a big difference one letter can make all
13:37    the difference so we have all of those Bibles today which we don't recommend any of those by
13:45    the way

now these are the two gentlemen that that caused all of this furore in
13:51    1881 when they published their New Testament supposedly in the original
13:57    Greek based on the discovery of the synaticus manuscript

14:05    and this is actually what the synaticus looks like at the end of the Gospel of Mark
14:11    now this format of these four columns and they actually contain 42 lines it's
14:18    a standard for all manuscripts uh standard for all printing of Bibles
14:25    right up to the Latin Vulgate in uh the uh 16th century
14:31    and the one thing that becomes apparent straight away is you have this massive Gap you know that's the only Gap in the
14:38    entire manuscript the way that these manuscripts were written and this is called an ankiel or
14:45    an unseal manuscript it means that it's all in capital letters there's no
14:50    punctuation there's no uh paragraphs as such apart from these columns and it's
14:58    continuous from the first letter right through to the end but it makes a break
15:03    at this point here puts a few footnotes and that's the end of the story
15:10    very unusual and the last 12 verses are missing
15:17    before it goes on to the Gospel of Luke as I said before it's discovered in
15:23    Sinai Saint Catherine's Monastery 1844 it was actually found in a wayspin a
15:29    waste bin was used for manuscripts of little importance to be taken away and
15:36    burned and a German car called Von dictiondorf
15:41    actually visited there and recovered these out of a waste bin and um
15:48    that's how these leaves that constitute this manuscript were originally
15:53    discovered now we haven't got time to go into all of
15:59    this obviously but there's over 3 000 differences in this manuscript to the
16:05    majority of the other manuscripts that's a lot of differences when I say
16:11    differences you could give talks on this alone entire verses are eliminated from the Bible
16:18    altogether and it's very pointed that the majority of the verses that are eliminated are
16:25    verses that deal with the deity of Jesus Christ it's an attack on the word of God in
16:33    which Jesus Christ is the word of God personified and everywhere where the Bible highlights that he is the Divine
16:41    he is God in the flesh is completely changed and watered down and it's very
16:49    obvious and probably one of the reasons that the Jehovah's Witnesses decided to use that translation of the Bible and to
16:57    support their erroneous doctrines it contains some apocryphal books like
17:03    Belle and the dragon and um The Shepherd of hermus and the Gospel of Barnabas
17:10    and you know anyone else that wants to be named in it the reason we don't uh have any
17:16    uh or we don't take any notice of the Apocrypha is that Jesus never ever referred to them every other book in the
17:24    Bible Jesus made a reference to there's only one book in the Bible That's Esther
17:30    where God isn't mentioned but the inference is there that it's it's
17:36    talking about the Lord Anna said many verses are missing now
17:41    when we look at the vaticanas it's a very similar situation here again it was
17:46    claimed to be fourth Century

but here again we have Mark 16 missing
17:53    for the last 12 verses of Mark 16 discovered in the Vatican Library 1868
17:59    but only published in facsimile form Ed to have been there since the 15th
18:04    century so it didn't if that's true they didn't put a lot of emphasis and a lot of
18:11    importance on it it's got over 5 000 differences from the majority of the
18:17    Greek New Testament manuscripts including differences with the synaticus
18:24    and again it contains many apocryphal books which are still to this day in the
18:29    Catholic version of the Bible

now just going on with the vaticanus
18:36    it's quite interesting I mentioned before about the 42 lines and it has the 42 lines as we can see in
18:44    the first column but then it's oh in this this other column here
18:50    it stops at the 31st line and then there's a few letters down here there's
18:56    only five letters by the way in this last line of the 31 that's available in that
19:04    second column there's a blank space as we can see at the end of verse a separate and mark
19:10    from the Gospel of Luke and it's the only blank column in the
19:15    entire 759 Leaf manuscript which is
19:20    extraordinary and that should alert us to something being wrong now either the
19:27    Scribe that was copying down from earlier manuscripts
19:34    um left space for this to be included but was not sure whether it should go in or not or it was deliberately left out
19:41    one of the two but immediately it puts a big question mark on things

now when we
19:47    have a look at there are three basic families of manuscripts are available today
19:53    and uh very briefly we've got the alexandrian manuscripts that's the one
19:58    that the synaticus comes through we have the traditional taxes also known
20:04    as the Byzantine text or the majority text and that that comes from Antioch in
20:11    Syria and we have the western family which is where the vaticanus comes from
20:20    so we've got these three

and if we have a look at each one we won't go through all the uh different versions and these
20:28    are codex by the way is where all the manuscripts are actually made into a book They're sewn together
20:34    and they have these you know like modern book binding today they're in leaves and
20:40    then they're stitched together and a manuscript really well first of
20:46    all it's called a manuscript because it's been assembled by hand it's been hand written so it's very laborious it
20:52    takes a long time and it's Error prone and um but a codex is not rolled up in
21:00    in Scrolls or in sheets the sheets are joined together to make a book
21:05    so we have these codices and then you have the revised version of 1881 which
21:11    was uh by Westcott and Hawk based directly on the synaticus that went into
21:17    the American Standard Version revised and then the new English Bible in 1961.
21:23    now we haven't got time going to all the details but a very interesting thing is in second Timothy 3 verses 16 to 17
21:31    another foundational scripture for us it says in the King James Bible
21:36    and supported by the majority of manuscripts all scripture is given by
21:42    inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine for reproof for correction for
21:47    instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works what does it say in
21:54    the revised version all scripture inspired of God
21:59    is valuable now you might think that's not much of a difference it's a huge difference
22:06    because was it what it implies is some scripture may be inspired and some may
22:12    not it doesn't say all scripture is inspired
22:17    it's essentially saying all scripture that that we believe
22:22    or that is inspired the inspired parts of it are valuable but other parts are not
22:29    and it's one of the reasons that people you know in religious circles today
22:36    um that purport to believe the Bible say well there's certain parts of the Bible we don't believe
22:42    you see you either believe the word of God or you don't either believe it in its entirety or you
22:50    don't believe it at all that's as far as God is concerned not we'll take the
22:55    parts of the Bible that we agree with and we'll throw out the other parts that we disagree with
23:01    and unfortunately that is the basis of those manuscripts that we've been
23:07    talking about out that as a result of that thinking have decided that the last
23:13    verses of Mark can be taken out why are they being taken out I'll tell you why they're being taken
23:19    out because it's the only place in the New Testament in a single place where it
23:26    defines who the True Believers are clearly stated these signs shall follow
23:33    them that believe it doesn't say these signs shall follow the critics it will
23:38    follow the Believers and there are five signs nominated the only unique sign that's associated with
23:45    the initial receiving of the holy spirit is that they shall speak with new tongues
23:51    something that the majority of these Mainline churches disagree with
23:56    or if they do agree with it's only of secondary importance it's an additional
24:02    blessing we know it to be essential and it also contains things like you
24:09    know he that believeth and is baptize shall be saved he that believeth not
24:14    and therefore wouldn't be baptized will be damned you can't use words like that
24:20    you know in the political correctness of the atmosphere today

24:26    here we have the the Latin Vulgate the family of their manuscripts are filtered
24:33    down to the do a version interesting version now the Catholic version of the Bible instead of repent
24:40    it says do penance you know it's typical isn't it you know
24:47    not repentance do penance and uh so forth and of course baptism
24:53    has been changed into sprinkling and so forth

and here in the middle we have what some
24:59    people call the traditional tax this is the The textus receptors the received
25:05    tax the majority tax that's over 99 of all the manuscripts available to us and
25:13    that goes right down through by the way the pashita Syriac goes back to the
25:18    second century so it's 150 years before the sinaiaticus or the vaticanus but
25:26    they never put that down in the modern translations as a footnote
25:31    and that contains these verses in March 16 and eventually we come down to 1611
25:38    the King James and also known as the authorized version of the Bible was
25:43    unchallenged for 270 years until 1881 when the revised version come
25:51    out and changed the scriptures essentially

25:56    now there's a guy called uh John Bergen um he was a very well-known late 19th
26:0    4century um a preacher and someone who was an expert
26:10    on manuscripts and he produced this book in 1871 about the last 12 verses of Mark
26:18    and he had this to say the impurity of the tax exhibited by
26:23    vaticanus and synaticus is not a matter of opinion but a matter of fact
26:29    and that can all be checked out you know for anyone that doubts these things

26:36    very quickly look at bible numerics we haven't got time to there's thousands of proofs in Bible numerics that these last
26:44    12 verses in March should be in the Bible now Bible numerics is interesting

26:50    um in the original Greek on the top here and in the Hebrew down here they didn't
26:56    have independent numerals to to signify numbers they actually used
27:01    representative letters in their character set um for instance you've got Alpha Beta
27:08    gamma and then here you've got alef Bay and gimmel and so forth these letters
27:14    all have particular values if you're a bit curious about what these are these
27:19    are the final forms of these in Hebrew when it's a final letter they use a
27:25    different form for these five different characters we won't go into that now but
27:31    suffice to say that each one of these can be read as a number
27:37    and when you get a word you can for instance if this was a single word these four characters you could add up all of
27:43    these and it would give you a cumulative number that that word represents it's
27:49    called Gematria um that the study of doing those that kind of a study

27:55    now I'm just picking up three very important things here and in Genesis 1
28:00    verse 1 a third word of the Bible is God in the beginning God the third word in English
28:07    but is actually a different set of words in the Hebrew but the important thing is
28:13    that it comes out with a value of 86 will find out why this is important
28:20    Matthew chapter 1 verse 1 uses the name yasu in uh in Greek which is a peculiar
28:30    form of the name Jesus it's usually usually Jesus
28:35    which comes out at 888 but in this particular verse it's yasu which comes
28:42    out at 688 which just happens to be 86 times 8. so it has the signature of God
28:51    in there Elohim and it also has the character signature of Jesus Christ
28:58    the number eight means regeneration if you put the number eight on its side you
29:04    have the the symbol for infinity and Jesus said that he's the beginning in the end the Alpha and the Omega and
29:11    so forth we have a look at Mark 1 and verse 1 and
29:17    exactly the same Greek word is use yasu 688 and it comes
29:23    out to those values now if we take the words of the
29:29    Gospel of Matthew and Mark together and add up all of those
29:34    values it comes to
29:39    29 584 which seems an insignificant number
29:45    until you look at the the factors for this these are prime numbers 86 times 86
29:52    times 2 times 2 so it's doubly
29:57    um underlining the fact that God is behind us and the number two means
30:02    separation or to make a distinguishment now that's important why are we putting
30:08    this in because if you take away the last 12 verses of Mark 16 it destroys
30:15    all of those numerics those values don't work anymore
30:20    and this believe me is only scratching the surface many other Studies have been
30:26    done to show that numerically to preserve the kind of patterns that God has established in his word those verses
30:34    have to be in place so it's just another
30:39    Factor another proof as it were that this is inspired by God
30:44    and uh it's absolutely clear when we look at the scripture

for instance let's just
30:51    read through how it reads if we take those 12 verses out
30:56    and he saith unto them be not afraid you seek Jesus of Nazareth which was crucified he has risen he is not here
31:02    behold the place where they laid him but go your way tell his disciples in Peter
31:07    that he goeth before you into Galilee where by the way he appeared to more than 500 people it tells us
31:14    now shall you see him and he said as he said unto you now this is how the gospel
31:20    of Mark concludes without the last 12 verses and they went out quickly and fled from the sepulka for they trembled
31:28    and were amazed neither said the anything to any man for they were afraid

31:34    is that an appropriate way
31:40    to conclude the gospel every other gospel
31:45    um ends on a positive note and by the way has the word amen written on it
31:51    which closes it out if we're to believe that those last 12 verses don't
31:57    um they're not meant to be there you have to be prepared to conclude that
32:03    even after they were told be not afraided they went away trembling and
32:09    full of fear and that was the conclusion to the gospel which by the way means
32:14    good news it's not very good news when they're in a state like that
32:20    of course it's nonsense it doesn't make any sense

but when we put the rest of the verses
32:27    on it makes so much more sense now when Jesus was risen hardly the first day of the week he appeared first so they were
32:35    afraid before but now he appears to Mary Magdalene out of whom he had cast Seven
32:41    Devils and she went and told them that I'd been with him as they mourned and wept and they when they had heard that
32:48    he was alive and had been seen of her believe not so they still were unbelief after that he appeared in another form
32:55    unto two of them we know that that was on the road to Emmaus it's recorded at the end of the gospel and look
33:02    went into the country and they went and told it to unto the residue neither believed they them believing lot and

33:09    they afterward he appeared onto the 11 as they sat at me and upbraided them with
33:16    their unbelief and Hardness of Heart because they believed not them which had seen him after he was written noticed
33:23    that the Lord sent three sets of witnesses of which they all disbelieved
33:29    threes a very significant number in the Bible it's used many times by the mouth
33:34    of two or three Witnesses shall every word be established and he said unto them go ye into all the world
33:42    preach the gospel to Every Creature he that believeth and is baptized shall be
33:47    saved for he that believeth not shall be damned we rest on these scriptures
33:53    they fit in with the rest of the Bible Jesus clearly preached the baptism was
34:00    necessary Jesus clearly said that the signs would follow before
34:06    this was even stated it's only confirming that it was already there people had to be born again except a man
34:13    be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God and
34:19    many other things except you repent you shall all likewise perish he never minced any words
34:25    and the word damned is being used here it means judged and cut off

34:31    and these signs shall follow them that believe now this is what the modernists
34:36    who would call the modernists now even they go it goes back to the 19th century
34:42    objected that the signs would follow the Believers
34:47    the Bible's clear in my name shall they cast out Devils they shall speak with New Towns they shall take up serpents
34:54    and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover as I
35:01    mentioned before there's five signs we could go into all of these
35:06    by the way it's got nothing to do with deliberately taking poison it's got nothing to do with deliberately picking
35:13    up rattlesnakes it's a two-legged snakes you want to be looking out for that have got the poisonous doctrines under their
35:20    lips that Jesus nominated them and said that they were a brood of vipers
35:26    and that's what the True Believers are immune against as long as we believe and
35:31    trust in God we'll be able to see through those things it's a sign
35:37    and of course the new sign by the way most of these other signs had already
35:42    been done you know you look at when he sent out the 70 said I give you power to tread on
35:49    scorpions go forward and heal the sick freely you've been given uh flee freely you've
35:57    received freely give the only new sign that never been seen
36:03    before and was uniquely to take place at the start of the church age on the day
36:08    of Pentecost is that they shall speak with new tongues it didn't happen before it couldn't happen before until Jesus
36:16    Christ went back into heaven and poured out the Holy Spirit and here we have a fulfillment of those
36:24    things this is a much more positive note to end this gospel on so then after the Lord
36:30    had spoken unto them as you received up into heaven gloriously taken up two
36:36    angels were there and said why are you staring like this this Jesus as you see him go shall come in like Manna glorious
36:46    and he sat on the right hand of God and they went forth and preached everywhere the Lord working with them and
36:52    confirming the word with signs following and concludes as the rest of the gospels do with amen amen amen in Hebrew which
37:01    originally that's where it comes from and it's reused in Greek means it's confirmed
37:08    it's firm and it's ratified and that concludes
37:13    the true Gospel of Jesus Christ The Gospel that we stand on and it's because of jealousy the same as
37:21    the Pharisees and the religious people in Jesus they wanted to get rid of Jesus Christ
37:26    they wanted to nail him to a cross it well they didn't they actually wanted to Stone him to death because that was the
37:33    Jewish penalty for blasphemy but Jesus had to die a unique death
37:39    he was under the Roman Empire and he had to be nailed to the cross and they couldn't exercise the blasphemy
37:48    charges and carry out the execution themselves that's why they handed them over to Pilate
37:54    and pilate tried to wash his hands of the situation but at the end of the day
37:59    he pilate wanted to let him go but the people said this man said that Caesar's
38:06    not a king and immediately pilot for political reasons had to carry the sentence out
38:13    otherwise that would have been reported back to superiors and he was nailed to the cross
38:19    which was pre-figured right from the book of Genesis that that's the way that he would have been sacrificed
38:26    confirming the word with signs falling they object to that
38:31    why because they haven't got any signs following because there's no proof that God is
38:37    working with them that's why it's important that we continue in the signs following
38:44    Ministry without those signs is nothing is a
38:50    social club it's a group of people like the boy scouts or whatever this is what
38:55    makes the body of Christ different this is what makes the body of Christ unique
39:01    God working with us and in US confirming the signs following
39:07    and I rest my case that those last 12 verses are authentic and all the people
39:14    said amen
